Chris Bowden and Paul Glynn founded CityFire in Coleshill in 2006 with electrical and fire alarm experience and one ambition: build a company clients can depend on. Twenty years later we maintain 8,071 sites across the UK and Ireland, and we still have not employed a salesperson. The work sells itself, or it does not.

Experience behind every decision
The founders came from the tools, not from sales. That practical foundation still shapes how we design, maintain and support the systems people rely on every day, and why our quotations tell you the standard and the category rather than the brochure.
People who know the job
We recognise talent, develop it and promote from within. Our management team includes former field engineers who understand what it takes to deliver work in an occupied building. The decisions made in the office are made by people who have stood in the plant room.

We want to know your buildings, understand your priorities and grow with you. Service, reporting and performance measures are shaped around your operation. Where lasting partnerships develop, we create local apprenticeships so the next generation has a route into the industry.

Our engineers live and work across the West Midlands, so planned visits and call-outs in the core area are covered from home, not from a motorway. For national portfolios we already deliver in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, with regionally based engineers reporting through one helpdesk.
