In a hospital or care home the nurse call system is the resident’s voice. We design, install and maintain systems that are simple for residents to use, informative for staff and auditable for inspectors, across NHS wards, care homes, extra-care and supported housing.
What we provide
- Bedside and en-suite call units, pull-cords, pear-push leads and ceiling pulls.
- Corridor displays, zone indicators and overdoor lights.
- Staff-attack and assistance alarms for mental health, emergency departments and lone working.
- Wireless and hybrid systems for occupied and heritage buildings.
- Call logging and response-time reporting for CQC and internal governance.
- Integration with pagers, DECT, smartphones, door entry and building management.
- Dementia care sensors: acoustic monitoring, bed and chair pressure mats, door contacts.
Working on live wards and in occupied homes
Our engineers are used to working around care. We plan installations room by room with the nurse in charge, keep the old system live until the new one is proven, and are DBS-checked and briefed on safeguarding before they set foot on site.
Maintenance and support
Nurse call faults are Priority 1 on our helpdesk because a dead call point is a safeguarding issue. Planned maintenance is scheduled with the fire alarm visit where possible. Spares for the main manufacturers are carried on the van.
Frequently asked
Wired or wireless?
Wired systems remain the most reliable choice for new builds and hospital wards. Wireless systems are ideal for occupied care homes and supported housing where cabling would disrupt residents, and modern systems report call response times just as wired systems do.
Can you provide call response reporting for CQC?
Yes. Most systems we install log every call, acknowledgement and cancellation with timestamps, and produce the response-time reports that inspectors ask for.
Do you integrate with pagers, DECT phones and mobile apps?
Yes. Calls can be routed to corridor displays, pagers, DECT handsets or staff smartphones, with escalation if a call is not answered within your target time.
What about dementia care?
We install acoustic monitoring, bed and chair sensors, door contacts and discreet room units that reduce night-time disturbance while alerting staff earlier to falls and wandering.
